Sarvadhi X PLD: Making Diamond Trading Faster, Flexible, and More Transparent

PLD, headquartered in New York, is a dynamic player dealing in both natural and lab-grown diamonds. Their business model connects wholesalers, retailers, and end consumers through digital channels.

However, their existing system was slow, rigid, and incapable of managing the pace of the global diamond trade. To address this gap, PLD approached Sarvadhi for more than a technical upgrade.

They needed a partner who could rebuild their digital ecosystem with precision. Sarvadhi delivered a ground-up ERP for diamond trading that unified inventory, pricing, and client management. The result was a flexible, lightning-fast diamond trading software designed for modern markets.

The transformation required solving multiple operational and technical roadblocks:

PLD’s earlier system lacked speed and scalability. They required a modern ERP software for diamond industry that could sustain heavy global transactions without compromising performance.

Every vendor needed custom markup rules. Maintaining accuracy across five or more dynamic pricing layers while ensuring fast page loading was a critical challenge.

The platform needed to support robust filters across multiple attributes such as cut, clarity, size, and proportions. Without this, buyers struggled to navigate large datasets effectively.

Role-Based Access for Diverse Users

The system had to manage three distinct roles: guests with limited viewing rights, verified clients with certificate and price access, and administrators with complete operational control.

Managing Hybrid Inventory

Both natural and lab-grown diamonds had to be maintained in a unified diamond inventory management system without errors, duplication, or slowdowns.

The company required a secure way to upload and export confidential diamond data via APIs and FTP to replace inefficient manual processes.

Business discovery and prioritization

We ran focused sessions with PLD leadership to map vendor to vendor and vendor to consumer flows and compliance needs, then prioritized features that reduce time to quote and time to order. This created requirements blueprint for a scalable ERP for diamond trading that balances performance with security.

Ground up architecture for speed and scale

Instead of patching legacy code, we designed a modern stack using Next.js, Node.js, Flutter and PostgreSQL to handle large catalogs and concurrent users. The architecture was tuned so the diamond trading software could serve pages with over ten thousand items without slowdown.

Role based access and simple UX for a non-technical leaders

We translated technical controls into clear business rules so guests, verified clients and admins have exactly the views they need. That approach ensured adoption while protecting pricing and certification data in the diamond inventory management system.

Pricing rules engineered as business logic

We modelled five to six markup layers as deterministic rules, so each vendor sees correct prices in real time. Embedding this into the ERP for diamond trading removed manual reconciliation and made pricing auditable.

Inventory convergence and high-performance tables

We unified natural and lab grown stock into one inventory model and built a customizable diamond table that loads large datasets quickly. This gave PLD a single diamond inventory management software backbone for both vendor and retail flows.

Secure guest and client roles with KYC gating

Guests can browse inventory without price or certificate while verified clients gain full access after KYC approval. This role design protects sensitive data while widening the top of the funnel for the diamond trading software.

Automated markup engine for vendor specific pricing

We delivered five to six automated pricing layers that apply markups and discounts in real time at query time. This removed hours of weekly manual work and ensured every quote is consistent across web and the diamond trading mobile app.

Fast diamond search and a customizable table view

A column configurable, filter rich diamond table supports attributes such as cut, clarity, width and length and returns results instantly. That search capability materially improves buyer discovery and shortens time to order.

Unified inventory and end to end tracing

Natural and lab grown diamonds are tracked within the same diamond inventory management software with location and user level permissions. Each stone has full inward to delivery traces so audits and disputes are resolved quickly.

Secure automated uploads and integrations

We implemented API and FTP pipelines for confidential data uploads and exports to replace manual entry. This integration reduced human error and enabled near real time inventory synchronization.

Cross platform web and mobile access

A Next.js website and a Flutter based diamond trading mobile app provide identical pricing and inventory views to buyers and vendors. Mobile readiness expanded PLD access and supported trading anywhere, anytime.
